Since it is the holiday season we thought we would give a quick three month update. Quinlan as you can guess is changing daily. He is no longer the small little baby that we carried home 12 weeks ago. He now weighs in at around 12 pounds. He is interacting with us more and more each day. His smiles melt our hearts every time we see one. He has started to giggle and coo while we talk to him. He loves walking around the block either being held or in his stroller. While alone with Dad he loves to be carried sitting forward while listening to a song. He loves listening to mommy read books! He definitely knows what wants and when he wants it and is not shy about letting us know about it. We love him more with each passing day and would not change anything in our little family.
These last two months have flown by on us! Before we know it, Quinlan will be off to college! He is getting so big, as of his last checkup he weighed in at a healthy 11lbs. He is very responsive and loves to smile and giggle. The Dr says that he is healthy and growing well. She even says his snorting is normal even though we find highly amusing!
We have not taken him on any major trips yet so most of the photos take place in our house or within a short drive. He loves to go for walks while being held (it is a sure way to get him to fall asleep!) while walking around the block.
We are enjoying every minute we have with little Quinlan and realize each day how lucky we are to have a healthy and happy baby at home with us to enjoy!

Quinlan's first trip to a pumpkin patch. Although not as good as the ones you can find in Vermont, this one at a local farm was fun to visit. We had a good time walking around trying to find the best pumpkins to carve. Quinlan enjoyed some of the experience while other parts were less satisfying. We took this chance to take our first family photo and although Mom and Dad are tired, we could not ask for a better baby. We love our new life and can not wait to experience more firsts as they come along for Quinlan.
Baby Quinlan is growing so fast and eating constantly. These first two weeks have passed so quickly. Everyday his personalty come to the forefront. He still spends the majority of time sleeping but every once in a while he wakes up and we get to enjoy a few moments of non-crying time. He is fascinated by shadows and will stare at them wide eyed for as long as his hunger holds out. Mom is loving the time home with him, she is getting really good at doing things one handed. Dad likes hanging out with him when he comes home from work but since he does not have milky breasts the time it does not last long! We love him so much and cannot imagine our lives without him.
We want to introduce you to baby Quinlan. It is a Scottish Gaelic name meaning 'small blond warrior.' He was born at 7:58 on Tuesday morning weighing5 pounds 15 ounces. He measured 19 inches long with long fingers and toes.
SORRY it took so long to post but due to some minor complications we were held up at the hospital for 4 days. First, they wanted to check his blood sugar because he was a tad small and it came back low so we had to stay until that was corrected. After that a midwife noticed that he had as light yellowing of the face so they ran another blood test for jaundice. That held us up a couple more days but we are now home and made it happily through the first night. Dad took the early shift until 3:00 AM and mom took over so dad could get some sleep! We are grateful for our little miracle and so unbelievably happy that he is finally home.

It's so hard to believe that this was only a year ago! This is us, tying the knot after nearly 7 years...
